A Glamorous Summer Wedding at Mitton Hall

When I first met Lesley and Mark they welcomed me warmly into their home for our first meeting. They talked about their wedding plans and their relationship, those closest to them, and it was clear that their wedding was to be a wonderfully personal one.

At the turn of the Millennium the couple became engaged and after a 16 year engagement (and two and a half engagement rings) they had found the perfect venue - Mitton Hall in Whaley. Lesley and Mark wanted to keep only the wedding traditions that suited them, so they planned to make every part of their day meaningful and special to them.

The morning of their wedding dawned bright and clear and I found Lesley and her bridesmaids getting ready in the Conference Room, which was full of the laughter and excitement of these great friends.

Lesley teamed her beautiful tea length dress with sparkling Louboutin heels and carried a locket of her mum with her in her bouquet, as she met Mark at the end of the aisle.

Surrounded by those closest to their hearts, these two best friends committed their lives to one another.

Mark and Lesley invited Ciaran, Mark's cousin's son, a talented young singer who is soon to study at Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, to perform after their wedding ceremony. As the sun began to dip and the evening drew in, Ciaran serenaded dancers on the patio overlooking the gardens.

Before the evening party started Lesley and Mark took a few moments to have some photographs alone in the grounds of Mitton Hall, it was beautiful to capture them together, and true to their nature it was a lot of fun!

Every moment of the day reflected their personalities, friends and family travelled from far and wide to celebrate with these wonderful two and what a celebration it was! It was clear for all to see that Lesley and Mark have an incredible love for each other, for their friends and family and for life.

It's one of the privileges as a wedding photographer to share in the incredible joy of each couple's big day and this was a day that none will forget; guests young and old stayed up late into the night to celebrate the Stansfield's marriage, boy do they know how to party!
