Heidi and Mark's adventure of an engagement shoot at Hardcastle Crags
Heidi and Mark live in Kent but Mark's family live in West Yorkshire, Heidi contacted me to book a photo shoot and they hoped to combine a trip to visit his family with an engagement photography session.
We chose a morning shoot for its soft, warm light and quieter location - Mark chose Hardcastle Crags as the place he'd love to have their photographs and it was perfect.
Hardcastle Crags is usually very busy with walkers and picnickers so we arrived early and caught a beautifully peaceful, warm and light morning.
When we had chatted on the phone to plan the engagement shoot Heidi had mentioned that they might benefit from a little extra direction to help them to feel at ease around our cameras but they needn't have worried, they were naturals!
Our lovely pair relaxed into being photographed with such ease, it was like meeting with old friends; they took the stepping stones across the beck and strolled around Gibson Mill all the while chatting about their lives, their relationship and their wedding plans. Heidi and Mark even took it in their stride when we got a little lost!
Mark and Heidi are planning to marry next year at the Orangery in Maidstone, Kent and we feel incredibly lucky to have been invited to photograph for them.
