Lucy and Steven's Relaxed Edinburgh Wedding

Steven and Lucy's wedding was quite a spontaneous one; with only a couple of months to plan, which suited them perfectly.

Lucy talked about her upcoming wedding with such excitement; they were to have a wonderfully relaxed and natural day. Steven and Lucy had thought of eloping to Iceland, to break the amazing news that they had tied the knot when they returned. But they decided to have an intimate wedding ceremony in Edinburgh, inviting just family and a few close friends.

Shortly before their ceremony we met Lucy and her family at home, which rang with the laughter and excitement of siblings so close they're more like friends (that's how Lucy feels about them too).

The party grew as they left home and were joined by friends for the walk to the ceremony at Lothian Chambers. Arriving at the ceremony so casually, surrounded by a happily chatting and laughing group of those closest to her was perfect.

True to her free-spirited nature Lucy skipped over the tradition of wearing white and chose instead a very, very dark blue sparkly floor length dress and Steven and his best man looked incredible in traditional kilt and sporran.

When all the guests had gathered at Lothian Chambers, they poured upstairs to the Melbourne Suite to witness the couple's marriage.

With smiles and laughter throughout their ceremony, these two best friends promised their lives to one another.

After crowding downstairs to congratulate them, all the guests headed onwards to eat together and celebrate. It was a day that perfectly suited Steven and Lucy; an intimate, informal wedding bursting with love!
